Statement of Faith
Giving Hope. Loving Neighbors. Growing Hearts.
Partners in Hope is an autonomous ministry led by a board of directors and an operational staff under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. It is subject to the control of no other ecclesiastical body, but it recognizes the value of mutual counsel and cooperation with other like-minded Christians, Christian Churches, and other local, state, national and international organizations.
We believe that the Bible is the divinely inspired and authoritative word of God without error in its original writings.
We believe in God as a spiritual person who is omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent; and that God has revealed himself as a trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ is God the Son; that He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed authentic miracles, and died on the cross as the redemption from sin for all who repent and believe in Him as Savior; that he rose bodily from the grave, ascended into the presence of God and is coming back again personally to establish the kingdom of God. We believe the sinless life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ provides the only basis for salvation.
We believe in the Holy Spirit as a person within the Trinity who is in the world to continue the work of Jesus Christ. He is present in the believer from the moment of salvation and is the assurance of God to bring the believer into the fullness of life until the final day of redemption.
We believe salvation is not the result of human merit or achievement, but of divine purpose and initiative. Salvation from the penalty of sin is the free gift of God through Jesus Christ. Salvation is conditioned only upon personal repentance from sin and turning toward God as demonstrated by trust in and commitment to Jesus Christ the Lord. We believe those who have been saved cannot lose their salvation for it is an eternal gift.
We believe the local church is a body of baptized believers who have voluntarily bonded themselves together for the purpose of establishing a fellowship to fulfill the commission of our Savior. We believe that all believers are called to be part of a local body of Christ, for their spiritual growth, mutual support, and service to the body.
We believe the Lord will return bodily to the earth to complete our salvation and establish His kingdom. All of the dead will experience a bodily resurrection: the believer to eternal joy with the Lord and the unbeliever to judgment and eternal punishment.
